Posted by Betty, from Port St Lucie, FL on Aug 28, 2020 They should have refunded the deposit to us! Shame on them for taking advantage of senior citizens like that! They are NOT within the park, but rather, are located 1 mile OUTSIDE the park. If that had been the case, then we would have been allowed to enter the park with the reservations for lodging within the park. Their name, Rush Creek Lodge "at Yosemite" implies that they are located WITHIN the National Park. When we had to cancel our reservation due to the COVID restrictions, they refused to refund our deposit, thus, they charged us almost $500 for a room in which we were restricted from staying. When they verified our reservation by email, they failed to tell us about the COVID special pass needed to enter the park. A week prior to our trip, we discovered that we couldn't visit Yosemite w/o a special pass due to COVID, thus, we had to cancel our reservation. It was a lot of fun to hang out with them over the course of 4 days in Yosemite. In January of 2020, we made reservations to spend 3 nights at Rush Creek Lodge at Yosemite and visit Yosemite National Park using our lifetime senior citizen National Park pass. We’re so grateful that Caroline and Chris chose us to document their special day.

So much cheering and happiness was pouring out in the entire room! You could feel the energy from every single person as they watch Chris perform live. One of my favorite moments during the night is when Chris surprised his bride (and all the guest) with a saxophone duet with the live band, Jimbo Scott. Having photographed at this venue one month prior, Christina ( Makeup by Quis) and I were so honored to be back to do it all over again and to create more magic! Many friends and family from all over drove the long trek to Yosemite to celebrate with them. Continuing from my last post, Caroline and Chris married at Rush Creek Lodge in Yosemite over the weekend.
